Stop Describing Your App — Now Appster Can Just Read It

If you've ever spent the first five minutes of a conversation with an Ai, explaining your table structure, misspelling column names from memory, or trying to describe how your references connect... that ends today.

I'm excited to announce the release of App-Bridge — a free Chrome extension that connects your AppSheet editor directly to Appster Chat. One click, and Appster can see your actual tables, columns, formulas, validation rules, automations — everything. In real time.
No more translation step. No more lost details. Just open your app, open the extension, and start asking questions.
The Problem This Solves
Every time you ask Appster for help, there's been a gap between what you know about your app and what Appster knows. You describe your tables. You recall column names from memory. You try to explain how your references connect.
Details get lost. Column names get misspelled. That formula you're troubleshooting? Appster has never actually seen it.
App-Bridge closes that gap entirely.
What It Does
App-Bridge is a Chrome extension that captures your app's full configuration with one click — and makes it available to Appster before you type your first question.

Once connected, Appster can:
Look up column names and types — no more guessing or misspelling
Inspect formulas and validation rules — Valid_If, Required_If, Editable_If, Show_If, defaults, the whole stack
Trace references across tables — see exactly where things connect
Browse views, actions, slices, and formatting rules by name or type
Inspect automations end-to-end — bots, events, processes, and individual task configurations
Search your entire app by keyword — across all tables, columns, slices, actions, views, and automations simultaneously
Read your formula editor live — whatever you have open in the expression editor, Appster can see it
Pick up highlighted text from the editor — just select something and ask about it

That last one is worth emphasizing. You can literally highlight a formula in your AppSheet editor, switch to Appster Chat, and say "what's wrong with this?" — and Appster already has it.
In practice, this has significantly sped up working with AppSheet - like a breath of fresh air in this Ai accelerated world.
How It Works
Setup takes under a minute:

Install — Add App-Bridge from the Chrome Web Store. It's free.
Extract — Open your app in the AppSheet editor and click the extension. One click captures everything.
Chat — Switch to Appster Chat. It already knows your app.
The extension opens as its own window — it needs to stay open for the connection to work, but you can minimize it and forget about it.
Two Ways to Use It
App-Bridge works in two modes:

Built-in LLM Chat — You can bring your own API key (OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini) and chat with your schema directly inside the extension. It's generic prompt-based, but it works for quick lookups.
With Appster Chat — This is where it really shines. Appster isn't a generic AI — it's purpose-built for AppSheet, with years of curated resources, best practices, and a full toolkit of schema inspection tools. When you pair App-Bridge with Appster Chat, you get an assistant that not only understands the platform but can see your specific app and give you targeted answers.
Already an Appster Chat subscriber? You're ready to go. New to Appster? Plans start at $10/month.
Why This Matters
This has been the most requested feature since I launched Appster Chat — the ability for Appster to actually see what you're working on. Screenshots helped (and still do), but having structured access to your full app configuration is a completely different level.
The result: faster answers, fewer back-and-forths, and formulas that actually reference the right column names the first time.
